It is estimated that almost 18 million Americans have a drinking problem. These folks need to get control of their drinking before a tragedy strikes such as drunken driving convictions or a fatal accident where alcohol is involved. Many people join alcohol support groups in an effort to stop drinking, or they may enter a treatment center for help. These are very public ways to attempt to solve a problem that you may not want to advertise. There is a solution that is completely private and totally anonymous. For example, the Last Call program is a do-it-yourself method that allows you to go through the treatment program in your own home where you will be the most comfortable.

lastcall email1Alcohol and drug abuse are considered to be the number one health problem in the US. The craving for alcohol is so intense that it is virtually impossible to just quit drinking. The body needs changes so that it no longer obsessively craves alcohol. For instance, the dietary supplement called Sobrexa is botanically-based to increase the bio-availability of vitamins and minerals. Alcohol support programs recognize the unique dietary needs of alcoholics. Water soluble vitamins such a Vitamin C and the B-Complex are particularly needed. Alcohol is known to destroy folic acid, a B vitamin essential to body functions. L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid that is known to decrease physiological alcohol cravings, so this is another nutrient that should be supplemented.

Many at home alcohol support treatment programs suggest several natural herbal formulations to help the body recover. One of these is called Kalmaro which can relieve stress, irritability and anxiety. Some social situations make people nervous which leads to drinking. The supplement reduces nervousness and stress and promotes a sense of well being. In fact, Kalmaro can work synergistically to help increase concentration, promote calmness, elevate mood and eliminate shaking and dizziness. This is the balancing effect on the body.

A good alcohol support program acknowledges the fact that some humans suffer from a neuro-physiologic difference that makes them have an atypical reaction to alcohol. With more and more alcohol the action of neurotransmitters is disrupted which results in abnormal alcohol cravings. The body needs to have its balance restored to beat this addiction. Nutritional supplements, simple exercises and proper sleep cycles can help restore this balance so you can be well on your way to recovery.

Tina, call 888-901-9874. I just did and was impressed because the entire 8-week program (medication and support) is only $797. I thought that was a great deal. The web site is http://accesshealthpartners.com/achp?p=health576&w=hybrid. I plan to sign on tomorrow. (No, I don’t work for the program or have anything to do with them. I just found it today and I was SO happy!) Maybe your family can raise the money for your brother.

ConnieMT, you ordered this program a little over a month ago; have you received it yet and/or started the program? The actual information on the product (ingredients) as well as any real life reviews are impossible to find. I was really ready to order, but the cost is so much that I just can’t justify it unless I can talk to others who have had success with it. I appreciate any information you have. Thanks.

I’ve been seeing ads for DrinkLessNow all over the place — probably because of the time of year — and was curious. I’m a recovering alcoholic — it’s a process. The 8-week program seems awfully expensive and, to be completely honest, I can’t see it working for a real alcoholic. A binge drinker or heavy drinker is not the same as an alcoholic. Anybody who can return to drinking without spiralling out of control is not an alcoholic.

Beth — ConnieMT didn’t say she was ordering the program. She said she was planning to. I don’t know if she’s an alcoholic or not, but alcoholics typically plan to do things and then don’t follow through.

Tina — I am sorry for all of the pain your family is experiencing. The only thing you can do is get help for yourselves. You cannot make somebody stop drinking if they don’t want to. You can’t want somebody’s sobriety more than they do. Do whatever you need to do to care for yourself. Good luck.

Try the program if you want. But if you are a real alcoholic, easier, softer ways don’t do the trick.

I am 61 years old. I’ve abused alcohol ever since I was 18. I’ve never been a social drinker. Eight years ago I suffered a massive stroke. I definitely haven’t been drinking like I did when I was younger but I still drink beer and wine.

Two things drew me to The Last Call Program. I’ve been into Chinese herbs for many years actually did just this past year I want to one of the best hospitals in the world for stroke treatment for three months in China. It helped me a lot.

The second thing that drew to me to this program is that I worked part time in a gourmet restaurant in California for many years as a wine steward. And I didn’t want have to give up wine completely. I really wanted to become a social drinker.

Last Call does work. Before I started the program about a week before I got very drunk and I fell down and couldn’t get up because I wear a brace on my leg. Luckily I was able to call one of my part-time caregivers and she came over with a friend and help me up. I had had a beer and two bottles of wine. That was 1 week before I started Last Call. Ever since that binge, I didn’t drink for 30 days. Last night I went to a friend’s house for dinner I had two glasses of Chardonnay. Then tonight I had three glasses of Chardonnay it was too many, I didn’t feel good. There’s something about Sobrexa and alcohol that don’t mix well.

So I would say definitely the program is working for me I’m continuing on.

    Sincerely, Ralph Edsell

please don’t be fooled that alcoholism is just a liquid disease. Its a baffling, complex disease that needs lots of support and many times mental help too. The reason for the sucess that 12 step programs have is there is no shame in the rooms. There is knowledge, each person helps the other. No, not every one finds their way back, but many do and those that do have sucessful lives. Not that I am condeming the use of sobrexa or anything else that might work, when nothing else does. It may be a start for someone. I agree its very expensive and usually people who suffer from alcoholism are not in the high income bracket, usually they are down on their luck. So you may be targeting the high income earners who think they are ok, or with a little problem. Anyone who is reading this, please realize there are no quick remedies to this disease. AA works, 37 years tells me that. good luck.
