I've decided to change the format up in the way that I deliver the news to you.

Rather than having a bunch of different posts, I figured that I will help save your time and consolidate the important stuff in one single post.

It's important to me to educate and bring to light what's going on in the world of alcoholism and the treatment of the disease.

With the introduction of The Last Call program, I believe the face of treatment will change (and is in the midst of changing) right now.

The reason I brought that one to you is that few people think about the damage alcohol does to their bodies. If just eating strawberries can help, then you need to know about it.

And lastly, to wrap up today's news, nothing irritates me more than to see an abuse of power.

It's nice to see when justice is served to those that do break the law and hold positions that have power behind them...

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville's parks director has been suspended after a television station videotaped him as he drank alcohol, then attempted to drive his city-issued vehicle.

Mayor Greg Fischer said Tuesday he suspended Mike Heitz for 30 days. Heitz announced he would enter an alcohol treatment program during the suspension, according to a statement from Fischer's office.

A WAVE-TV reporter questioned Heitz after he drank alcohol at a restaurant and got behind the wheel Monday. Heitz did not drive and got another ride home, Fischer's statement said.

Heitz apologized in the statement and said he made a mistake.
