I am 61 years old. I've abused alcohol ever since I was 18. I've never been a social drinker. Eight years ago I suffered a massive stroke. I definitely haven't been drinking like I did when I was younger but I still drink beer and wine.

Two things drew me to The Last Call Program. I've been into Chinese herbs for many years actually did just this past year I want to one of the best hospitals in the world for stroke treatment for three months in China. It helped me a lot.

The second thing that drew to me to this program is that I worked part time in a gourmet restaurant in California for many years as a wine steward. And I didn't want have to give up wine completely. I really wanted to become a social drinker.

Last Call does work. Before I started the program about a week before I got very drunk and I fell down and couldn't get up because I wear a brace on my leg. Luckily I was able to call one of my part-time caregivers and she came over with a friend and help me up. I had had a beer and two bottles of wine. That was 1 week before I started Last Call. Ever since that binge, I didn't drink for 30 days. Last night I went to a friend's house for dinner I had two glasses of Chardonnay. Then tonight I had three glasses of Chardonnay it was too many, I didn't feel good. There's something about Sobrexa and alcohol that don't mix well.

So I would say definitely the program is working for me I'm continuing on.

Sincerely, Ralph Edsell

I've been seeing ads for DrinkLessNow all over the place -- probably because of the time of year -- and was curious. I'm a recovering alcoholic -- it's a process. The 8-week program seems awfully expensive and, to be completely honest, I can't see it working for a real alcoholic. A binge drinker or heavy drinker is not the same as an alcoholic. Anybody who can return to drinking without spiralling out of control is not an alcoholic.

Beth -- ConnieMT didn't say she was ordering the program. She said she was planning to. I don't know if she's an alcoholic or not, but alcoholics typically plan to do things and then don't follow through.

Tina -- I am sorry for all of the pain your family is experiencing. The only thing you can do is get help for yourselves. You cannot make somebody stop drinking if they don't want to. You can't want somebody's sobriety more than they do. Do whatever you need to do to care for yourself. Good luck.

Try the program if you want. But if you are a real alcoholic, easier, softer ways don't do the trick.

ConnieMT, you ordered this program a little over a month ago; have you received it yet and/or started the program? The actual information on the product (ingredients) as well as any real life reviews are impossible to find. I was really ready to order, but the cost is so much that I just can't justify it unless I can talk to others who have had success with it. I appreciate any information you have. Thanks.

Hi, I just ordered your program through Jon. I have been looking at your network and would like to sign up. Is it possible to do this without my name popping up on the screen?

Tina, call 888-901-9874. I just did and was impressed because the entire 8-week program (medication and support) is only $797. I thought that was a great deal. The web site is http://accesshealthpartners.com/achp?p=health576&w=hybrid. I plan to sign on tomorrow. (No, I don't work for the program or have anything to do with them. I just found it today and I was SO happy!) Maybe your family can raise the money for your brother.

Could you tell me where you got your information from that you say defines the behaviour of an alcoholic?

You say that there are two types of drinkers but you do not define the primary from the secondary alcoholic. It is not possible for the primary alcoholic to continue with drinking after stopping for any length of time.
